‘Charge the Vote’ was the Labour Youth Forum’s campaign during the European Parliament elections campaign in 2014, which focused on increasing contact with the electorate.
It is of utmost importance that one remains grounded and listens and understands society’s needs. This becomes even more crucial once the party is in Government because it would then be in a position to truly act to improve upon people’s lives. Through this campaign, FZL ventured through a number of towns and villages in Malta and Gozo and a good number of its members were part of a door-to-door campaign and took part in action days. This was done using a bus especially decorated with campaign material.
It was a short but highly effective campaign which saw the Labour Party win these elections with a healthy majority of votes.
